The Trojans could hang on with the Roosters until the third quarter trailing only by one TD in the halftime (21-28). In the second half of the game Roosters´ power running tore Trojans defense apart and they scored three touchdowns widening the gap to 49-21 before Pekka Piminäinen scored the last TD for the Trojans.
The Trojans didn´t get their running game working, gaining only 30 yards on the ground, and they had to depend completely on Bret Dietz´s passing. Roosters on the other hand had very balanced offense, which moved the ball well both on the ground (268 yards) and in the air (261 yards).
Game MVP was RB Marko Vartiainen from the Roosters. He scored three TD and ran 233 yards.More about the game from Dietz Diaries.
