The Trojans has a tough schedule which brings two biggest favorites against it in the first two games. That was a fact everyone knew. But after the first game against the Crocodiles things looked quite good. The defense played extremely well and although the offense did not score everyone expected the next game against the Butchers, the reigning champions, to be a close one. Well, it wasn´t.
The Butchers scored in their first four posessions before the Trojans managed to force them to punt. It was late in the second quarter and the score was already 0-27. The halftime score was 0-30. In the second half the Trojans switched into shotgun formation and some developement could be seen but still they could not get into the red zone. The only score for the Trojans was a result of an interception by Ville Järviö who catched the ball the Butchers backup QB Aleksi Seppänen threw in the last quarter and ran it to the end zone. The final score was eventually 6-44.
The Butchers QB Petrus Penkki, a Finnish quarterback icon, completed 27 passes of 40 attempts and gained devastating 374 yards. Running games produced another 165 yards more. The Trojans gained only 69 yards in the whole game. QB Chuck Guedo was constantly forced to run himself which resulted in numerous sacks behind the scrimmage. He gained 45 yards by running but was pushed back 46 yards. WR Dan Mott made three catches as did also Janne Stenberg
Now that the tough part of the schedule is history its time to get some victories. The next game is against Rauma Sea City Storm on Saturday. That is definitely a game to win if the Trojans want to keep up in the playoff race. The stats of the game
