Johnell Wyatte injured his knee in the Trojans' last home game against the Helsinki Wolverines. In the first kick off return Johnell collided with a Wolverines player and their knees hit each other. The opposing player had a knee support which added the impact of the collision.
Johnell was operated in a private hospital Mehiläinen in Turku on tuesday July 17th. According to the surgeon Janne Sarimo the operation was succesfull and the knee will be fully functional after 3-6 months.
Johnell Wyatte will continue to act as a assistant coach for the rest of this season and there have been discussions about a new contract for the next season.
