The new lighting system at the Upper Field, the Trojan home, is now installed. And it looks pretty good too. In case our home has not been among the top notch football venues in Finland before, it’s sure getting there.
Lack of proper premises is no excuse for bad performance in the 2009 season. A new artificial turf and public address system were installed last summer and the brand new lighting will perfectly complement the score board and the functional, covered bleachers.
The lighting will allow us to have night games towards the end of the season. One of the Maple League championships in the 90’s was played at night in Helsinki; the atmosphere was truly something in despite of the Trojans bringing home silver instead of gold.
